by Vicky Twomey-Lee in DublinI am delighted to be part of an upcoming event which is an unconference organised by seven outreach organisations for women in STEM called unFAIL. What's cool is we will be closing the Science Gallery's #FailBetter exhibition that weekend.
by Vicky Twomey-Lee in DublinAfter everyone settled down (a few got a wee bit lost finding the venue, but got here safe and sound). One thing I noticed that maybe there would be a need to run another basic command line workshop.
by Vicky Twomey-Lee in DublinThanks to all who came along (Andrea and Veronika & our mentor, Mick) after a tiring working week and on a Friday evening just to learn about the command line interface. :-) Here's my write-up for the command line workshop.
by Vicky Twomey-Lee in DublinThat was a whirlwind of a ride yesterday evening. After being bedazzled by the newer looking Google building, we arrived just in time to set up, wave and say quick hello to Ursula (who was giving the Intro to HTML5 that evening) and settled down for a short presentation by Raphael followed by me. Then onwards to our workshops.
by Vicky Twomey-Lee in DublinThanks to Stephen Howell for a fantastic and fun-filled workshop. There was a little bit of a logistics hiccup which required a venue change last minute, thanks to the staff at Jury;s Inn on Custom House Quay, we were all sorted. My write-up on the Processing workshop... and it was a lot of fun!
