Setup before coming to workshop
- install Anaconda - http://continuum.io/downloads
- Note for Mac users, you might be required to install XCode, this is a very big download - https://developer.apple.com/xcode/downloads/
- Help file for install Anaconda
- six (Python 2 and 3 compatibility) - https://pythonhosted.org/six/
Breakdown
The general breakdown (allowing for some other things to happen unexpectedly)
- Setting yourself up and some Python essentials
- a bit about numpy
- stuff on pandas – main part of the day
- a quick example of something like clustering analysis (from scikit learn)
Lunch will be at 13:00.

Researcher at Insight Centre for Data Analytics (DCU) in image and video analysis writing programmes to recognise and find actions and objects, often in Python.
- 🌈 Kevin O'Brien
PhD Candidate in Statistics, who has been teaching R in the university of Limerick for 4 years. Also an organizer of the Dublin R user group ,with specific responsibility for workshops.

Electronic Masters Student (Business) at DCU with a particular interest in data analytics. Basic knowledge of R, Java and Python and looking forward to learning more over the coming months.
