Join Matthew McCullough from the GitHub Training team for an evening of learning the ins and outs of the Git version control system.
This revolutionary distributed version control system (DVCS) that has housed the Linux Kernel source for the last 8 years is the leading version control system of modern open source projects and becoming ever more popular in businesses too.
At the conclusion of this class, you'll be able to confidently start, manipulate, and leverage Git for storage of your code and collaboration on changes with people around the world.

No, source control is really handy way of backing up your files in your projects. And it's a great way to go back to different revisions of your files in your project. Plus you see the comments each time a file has been changed and committed back.
This is suitable for game developers, researchers, and anything that has documentation and files.
Full refunds until 24 hours before the event.
If there are not enough people signed up to the event, I will be in touch to refund you.

Coding Grace are a group of developers based in Ireland who love to code and do other geeky and not necessarily crafty activities. Some of us code full-time, or just for fun (or both). We have people who are part of other technical user groups such as Dublin ALT.NET, GameCraft, Python Ireland, Ruby Ireland and more…
We provide female-friendly workshops and events in an environment for developers and aspiring developers mentored by majority female instructors.
We aim to provide a support network for people from all backgrounds and hope our outreach will help bring those who are interested in code development together and learn from one another.
